Dinner at Giginos, BPC

Taking advantage of the next to last evening of summer, we squeezed in another dinner at sunset on the Hudson River coast of Manhattan.

This time we visited Gigino's, at Wagner Park in Battery Park City . Its a small Italian restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. They serve some of the best Bruschetta I have ever had.
And talk about a killer view. See that tiny spire on the left side of the picture, above the seated diner's head? That's the Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor.

A closer shot of Lady Liberty (the one on the horizon, not the one in the foreground).

You can also see a jogger passing by at the river's edge, out enjoying a last summer evening.

The old train station on the New Jersey Shore is silhouetted by the sun setting to the left of it.

The cod special was delicious tonight, and with the addition of the sunset, Gigino's at Wagner Park becomes a great dinner theater. Sweet. Posted by Picasa
